Overview:
A highly regarded Irish Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their project team on a new €multi-million residential development in Co. Kilkenny.
The project will involve the construction of a mix of houses and residential units alongside associated roads, drainage, utilities, parking, landscaping and public realm works, giving you strong exposure across both the building and civil engineering elements of the development.
You’ll take a hands on role throughout the project, with responsibility for setting out, quality control, technical coordination and working closely with the Site Manager, subcontractors and wider project team to ensure works are delivered safely and to a high standard.
The company has been established for almost 40 years and has built an excellent reputation across residential, commercial, education, healthcare, conservation and fit out projects.
They have also received recognition through the Irish Construction Excellence Awards for their work in the residential and education sectors.
There is a strong emphasis internally on quality, staff development and continuous improvement, with ongoing training and development forming an important part of how the business operates.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out accurate setting out for residential units, roads, drainage, utilities and associated site infrastructure using Total Station and GPS equipment.
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical information, identifying and resolving engineering issues as they arise.
- Carry out QA checks and maintain accurate site records, ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and required standards.
- Coordinate subcontractors and site activities while working closely with the Site Manager and wider project team to maintain programme targets.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- 2-5 years of experience working as a Site Engineer in Ireland.
- Strong setting out experience using Total Station and GPS equipment.
- Previous experience on residential or building projects would be advantageous.
