The Role – Site Engineer
As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of water and wastewater projects across Waterford and Wexford. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support the coordination and execution of civil, structural, and MEICA works on site.
This is a fast paced, site based role offering strong exposure to project delivery, subcontractor coordination, and technical problem solving. You will be instrumental in ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and in line with specification.
Key Responsibilities
Salary: €55,000 – €70,000 (DOE)

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the supervision of site works, ensuring alignment with programme requirements and safety standards
- Coordinate with site teams and subcontractors across civil, structural, and MEICA installations
- Support procurement of labour, materials, and plant in line with project requirements
- Develop and track project timelines from contract award through to handover
- Manage site labour and subcontractors to ensure efficient use of resources
- Support the delivery of projects within agreed timeframes and budgets
- Prepare and review engineering reports, method statements, and commissioning documentation
- Maintain and enforce Health and Safety standards and documentation on site
- Participate in design reviews, identifying constructability and coordination issues
- Resolve technical queries and support site teams with engineering solutions
- Oversee submittals, procurement tracking, and material inspections
- Work closely with the design team to ensure buildability and long term maintenance access
- Attend quality meetings and support QA and QC processes on site
- Respond to RFIs and technical queries relating to drawings and specifications
- Ensure site teams are working to the latest approved drawings and documentation
- Manage material requisitions and verify compliance with specifications
- Degree qualified in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in a Site Engineer or project coordination role within construction or infrastructure
- Experience working on MEICA, utilities, or water and wastewater projects is advantageous
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documentation
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Strong problem solving and decision making ability
- Organised with the ability to manage priorities in a fast paced environment
- Willingness to learn and develop within the water and wastewater sector
- Full driving licence
