The Company
This Tier 1 Irish main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager for a €60m government extension project in West Dublin.
The project involves a substantial multi-storey extension within an existing live environment, requiring careful planning around logistics, sequencing, interfaces with the existing building and ongoing operations.
The Role: Site Manager
As Site Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving the day-to-day construction works on this €60m government extension and keeping your section progressing in line with programme.
Working closely with the Project Manager and engineering team, you’ll coordinate subcontractors and trades, manage site operations and ensure works are completed safely and to the required quality.
The live nature of the project adds another level of complexity. You’ll need to plan, manage logistics carefully and coordinate new construction works alongside the existing facility.
Must Have Requirements
• Must have 5+ years’ Site Manager experience with a main building contractor
• Strong commercial, government or large-scale building experience required
• Proven experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, programme and site operations
Preferred Experience
• Large-scale extension project experience preferred
• Previous experience working within a live site environment beneficial
• Multi-storey building experience advantageous
• Tier 1 or large main contractor background beneficial
Key Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day construction activities on the €60m extension project
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades and site resources
• Drive works in line with programme and key project milestones
• Plan sequencing, interfaces and logistics around the existing building
• Maintain high standards across quality and Health & Safety
• Work closely with the Project Manager, Engineers and wider project team
• Identify and resolve site issues before they impact programme delivery
About You
You’ll be an experienced Site Manager with a strong main contractor background who is comfortable working on a technically demanding extension project.
You’ll be confident coordinating subcontractors, planning several weeks ahead and managing the interfaces that come with delivering new construction works alongside an existing live facility.
Experience on government, commercial, extension or other technically demanding building projects would suit this position particularly well.
