The Role: Site Manager
Based in Galway, Co Galway, this Site Manager role will see you take responsibility for the day to day management of a live residential apartment development from construction through to handover.
Working closely with the Project Manager, Site Engineers and subcontractors, you will ensure the project is delivered safely, on schedule and to the high quality standards expected on modern residential developments. This is a hands on role requiring strong leadership, excellent planning skills and previous experience managing residential construction projects for a main contractor.

You are an experienced Site Manager with a proven background delivering large residential or commercial construction projects for a main contractor in Ireland. You are organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple subcontractors while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and programme delivery.
You are comfortable leading site teams, solving problems quickly and ensuring projects are completed efficiently. Your communication skills allow you to build strong relationships with clients, consultants and the wider project team.

Must Have Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential or commercial construction projects with an Irish main contractor.
- Must have strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and site management procedures.
- Proven experience required managing subcontractors and coordinating programme delivery.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Valid Safe Pass and relevant construction management qualifications.
Preferred Experience
- Experience delivering large scale housing or apartment developments.
- Knowledge of Procore, Autodesk Build or similar construction management software.
- Trade or construction management background.
Nice to Have
- Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
- First Aid and Temporary Works awareness.
- BCAR experience would be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily site operations on a large residential development in Galway, Co Galway.
- Coordinate subcontractors, labour and site activities to maintain programme.
- Ensure all work is completed to the required quality standards and specifications.
- Drive health and safety compliance across the site.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to achieve key programme milestones.
- Monitor site progress and prepare regular reports.
- Coordinate inspections and manage snagging through to project completion.
- Liaise with design teams, suppliers and client representatives as required.
- Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
