Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The Role – Site Manager
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role suits a Site Manager with strong all-round construction experience and a keen eye for detail and finishes.
Key Responsibilities Site & Project Delivery
- Manage daily site operations, labour, and subcontractors.
- Deliver works in line with contract documents, programme, and quality standards.
- Plan, coordinate, and sequence works to minimise delays and rework.
- Monitor progress and report accurately to the Contracts Manager.
- Work closely with the Project QS on costs, variations, and upcoming risks.
- Maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure all works are delivered in compliance with H&S legislation and company systems.
- Enforce approved RAMS and Inspection & Test Plans.
- Deliver daily site briefings and manage interface risks.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards at all times.
- Report and investigate incidents in line with company procedures.
- Support the company’s Zero Harm objective across all sites.
- Supervise site engineering and setting-out activities.
- Ensure all materials and workmanship meet specification and drawings.
- Manage RFIs, technical queries, and submittals registers.
- Coordinate with Engineers and Services Coordinators to ensure smooth delivery.
- Deliver projects snag-free to client satisfaction.
- Act as the day-to-day point of contact for clients and design teams.
- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, planners, and the wider site team.
- Manage requisitions for materials and plant.
- Monitor programme performance and escalate risks early.
- Assist with updating construction and subcontract programmes.
About You
- 5 years’ experience as a Site Manager.
- Strong background across building projects (residential, commercial, or public works).
- Qualification in Construction or Project Management (advantageous).
- Excellent understanding of H&S, quality control, and site delivery.
- IT literate (MS Office, Project or similar scheduling software).
- Strong communicator with proven leadership skills.
- Commercially aware and solutions-focused.
- Full, clean driving licence.
