The Role – Structural Design Engineer
As Structural Design Engineer, you will become a key part of an experienced engineering team, responsible for the design and technical development of architectural precast concrete façade systems on landmark building projects.
You’ll contribute to the continuous evolution of low-carbon, energy-efficient façade design shaping projects from concept through to detailed engineering and installation.

The Role – Structural Design Engineer
As Structural Design Engineer, you will become a key part of an experienced engineering team, responsible for the design and technical development of architectural precast concrete façade systems on landmark building projects.
You’ll contribute to the continuous evolution of low-carbon, energy-efficient façade design shaping projects from concept through to detailed engineering and installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design bespoke architectural precast concrete façades and structural fixing systems.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and client design teams to develop full façade solutions.
- Liaise closely with in-house production and installation teams to ensure designs are optimised for manufacture, transport, and construction.
- Prepare design calculations, review drawings, and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Support both conceptual and detailed design phases across multiple projects.
- Report to a Senior Structural Engineer and work within a highly experienced design environment.
- Occasionally travel between Ireland and the UK for meetings or site inspections.
About You
- Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related discipline).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in structural design, ideally with exposure to reinforced concrete and steel.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Tekla, Revit, SketchUp, and structural design software packages.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of building regulations and constructability principles.
- Highly motivated, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple design tasks.
- Ambition to achieve Chartered Engineer status (mentorship and support provided).
- Experience in the precast or façade industry is an advantage.
