With a strong pipeline of framework work and long term investment in the region, they are continuing to grow their in house design capability from their Limerick office.

The Role – Wastewater Design Engineer

This is a full time office based role supporting the delivery of wastewater network and infrastructure design projects across Ireland. Working under an experienced Wastewater Design Manager, you will play a key role in the design and coordination of Irish Water network projects from concept through to construction stage.

You will be involved in producing detailed designs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring all work aligns with Uisce Éireann standards and specifications. This role offers strong exposure to live projects and the opportunity to develop within a growing design team.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce wastewater network designs in line with Uisce Éireann standards and guidelines
• Assist in the design of pipelines, pumping stations and associated infrastructure
• Prepare drawings, reports and technical documentation for project delivery
• Liaise with internal delivery teams and external stakeholders to ensure designs are buildable
• Support the coordination of design information across civil and utility disciplines
• Review design outputs to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements
• Assist in resolving design queries during project delivery phases
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and standards

About You

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience in wastewater or water network design, ideally within Ireland
• Strong understanding of Uisce Éireann standards and specifications
• Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and compliance
• Good communication skills and ability to work within a team environment
• Motivated to develop technically within the water and wastewater sector
