The Role – Aftercare and Commissioning Engineer
As an Aftercare and Commissioning Engineer, you will take ownership of reactive maintenance, commissioning and aftercare support across both current and legacy residential projects in Dublin. This is a field based role focused on ensuring heat pumps and residential mechanical systems operate safely, efficiently and in line with design intent.
You will work independently across multiple sites, diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and fine tuning systems to deliver optimal performance. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction, system efficiency and the long term reputation of the company’s residential mechanical installations.
Key Responsibilities
• Carry out commissioning of heat pumps and residential mechanical systems across new build housing and apartment developments
• Provide reactive maintenance and aftercare support on completed residential projects
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults across air source heat pumps, hot water systems and associated plant
• Ensure all mechanical systems are operating in line with design specifications and energy efficiency standards
• Liaise directly with homeowners, property managers and client representatives in a professional and responsive manner
• Maintain detailed service records, commissioning documentation and compliance reports
• Support site teams in resolving post handover mechanical issues
• Uphold high standards of health and safety while working across occupied residential developments
About You
• Trade qualified or technically trained in mechanical services, plumbing, HVAC or building services engineering
• Proven experience in heat pump installation, commissioning and repair within residential settings
• Strong diagnostic and fault finding ability across domestic mechanical systems
• Experience working on apartment developments, housing schemes or residential MEP projects
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule across multiple sites
• Professional and confident when dealing with homeowners and client representatives
• Detail focused with a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
• Full clean driving licence
