As a Building Services Engineer:
- A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience in a project management or similar role.
- An interest in energy management and emerging technologies in residential construction.
- Experience in a relevant trade background is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities, fostering collaboration across teams.
- Proven ability to manage timelines and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while being an effective team player.
- A full, clean driving license.
- Irish Construction experience.
Building Services Engineer Skills:
- Oversee and monitor the quality of M&E system installations from design coordination to final commissioning and handover.
- Collaborate with site construction teams to resolve onsite issues, ensuring M&E systems are installed efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Act as a liaison between design teams, ensuring seamless integration of M&E systems with architectural and structural elements.
- Manage and coordinate M&E subcontractors to meet project schedules and quality standards.
- Engage with utility providers, local authorities, and design teams to secure timely delivery of essential services such as electricity, water, gas, telecommunications, and public lighting.
- Plan and manage the modification or diversion of existing site services in collaboration with utility providers.
- Contribute to innovation and value engineering processes, identifying and implementing cutting-edge M&E systems and products.
- Oversee the management of temporary utility systems, including electricity and water, for active construction sites.
