Your new company are a specialist provider of high-quality temporary and semi-permanent buildings, delivering flexible and durable modular structures for a wide range of industries including manufacturing, logistics, education, sports, and construction.

You are a strong Business Development Manager looking to spearhead commercial growth in the Munster and Connaught regions. This is a full-cycle role that involves managing client relationships, site visits, design input, and overseeing installation and handover of modular building solutions.

With decades of experience and the backing of a global group with a turnover of €1.6 billion, your new company offers a full turnkey service, from design and manufacture to installation and handover, ensuring tailored solutions that meet each client’s specific operational needs.

Candidates with prior experience in the Irish or UK construction/modular sectors will be best positioned for success, especially those with exposure to portacabin-style or prefabricated structures.

Business Development Manager Skills:
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in business development, technical sales, or related field within construction, modular buildings, or engineering within the Irish or UK markets.
  • Previous exposure to modular or portacabin-style structures is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and conduct accurate on-site assessments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly motivated and comfortable working independently.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel frequently across Munster and Connaught.

As a Business Development Manager:
  • Identify new business opportunities in key sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, education, and residential.
  • Nurture and grow existing client relationships to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships.
  • Support and oversee the entire scope of works, from initial enquiry and site assessment through to design consultation, installation, and handover.
  • Act as the main liaison between the client and technical teams, ensuring clear and accurate communication throughout.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of the modular product range, including prefabricated structures manufactured off-site.
  • Conduct on-site measurements and contribute to the planning and layout of each solution based on customer requirements.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform strategic growth.
  • Provide feedback on market needs to help shape product development and go-to-market strategies.


The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least to €65,000 plus package.
