Their continued growth in the Irish building services market has created the need for an experienced Commissioning and Servicing HVAC Engineer in Dublin.
The Role Commissioning and Servicing HVAC Engineer
As a Commissioning and Servicing HVAC Engineer, you will take ownership of on site commissioning, servicing, warranty and maintenance of commercial HVAC systems across Dublin and surrounding areas. You will play a critical role in ensuring that heat pumps, chillers, air handling units and air conditioning systems are commissioned to manufacturer specifications and handed over fully operational to clients.
This is a client facing position where your technical expertise in commercial and industrial HVAC systems will directly impact quality, safety and programme delivery. You will also support reactive warranty call outs, provide detailed commissioning reports and contribute to the continuous improvement of commissioning and service processes across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Commission commercial heat pumps, chillers, AHUs and air conditioning systems in line with manufacturer specifications
• Carry out servicing, maintenance and reactive warranty support on HVAC capital plant
• Ensure all commissioning and service activities comply with site specific health and safety requirements and Irish OH and S regulations
• Produce detailed commissioning reports, service documentation and technical handover packs
• Manage client handover of fully functioning HVAC plant and provide technical guidance where required
• Liaise with contractors, consultants and site teams to resolve technical issues efficiently
• Promote best practice in HVAC commissioning, fault finding and preventative maintenance
• Maintain high standards of customer service and technical excellence on every project
About You
• Minimum 5 years experience as a HVAC Engineer, Service Engineer or Commissioning Engineer in commercial or industrial environments
• Strong technical background in AC and VRF systems, fan coil units, chillers, air handling units and commercial heat pumps
• Valid F Gas qualification is essential
• FETAC Level 6 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or City and Guilds 2079 is highly advantageous
• Proven ability to commission and fault find complex HVAC systems
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage with clients and main contractors
• Strong focus on health and safety compliance and quality assurance
• Full clean driving licence
• Full right to work in Ireland on a permanent basis
