The Role – Contracts Manager
As Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for the delivery of multiple water and wastewater projects across the west of Ireland. You will oversee the full contract lifecycle, from tender handover through to project completion, ensuring all works are delivered safely, on programme, and commercially successful.
This is a senior leadership role where you will manage Project Managers and engineering teams, while also maintaining close involvement in design coordination, commercial performance, and client relationships. You will play a key role in driving project standards, team performance, and business growth.

Salary: €90,000 – €100,000 (DOE)

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of multiple MEICA contracts across water and wastewater projects
- Manage all aspects of pumping and treatment installations with a focus on mechanical, electrical, and ICA systems
- Review tender submissions and develop detailed delivery strategies post award
- Coordinate the transition from tendering through to project execution teams
- Drive design development, identifying innovative and off site manufacturing opportunities
- Lead, mentor, and support Project Managers and engineering teams
- Oversee commercial performance including procurement, subcontract negotiation, and client engagement
- Monitor and manage project programmes across multiple live contracts
- Coordinate regular contract review meetings and performance tracking
- Ensure monthly invoicing targets and financial milestones are achieved
- Develop and manage project programmes from design through to commissioning and handover
- Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships throughout project delivery
- Oversee site operations including labour and subcontractor management
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Review engineering reports, method statements, and commissioning plans
- Implement and maintain systems that ensure safe and efficient project delivery
- Track and report on project performance through internal systems
- Contribute to business development and overall contracts growth strategy
- Engage with senior leadership on performance, planning, and future workload
- Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or similar
- Strong experience in a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager role within M&E, MEICA, or utilities
- Proven track record delivering water and wastewater or infrastructure projects
- Strong leadership experience managing and developing engineering teams
- Excellent commercial awareness with experience in procurement and contract management
- Ability to review technical designs and specifications across mechanical and electrical systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Focused on safety, quality, and programme delivery
- Full driving licence
