The Role: Document Controller
This is an office-based Document Controller position supporting multiple live construction projects across a range of sectors from the company's North Dublin office.
Working closely with Project Managers, Design Teams, Site Teams and subcontractors, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate project documentation, ensuring all drawings, specifications and technical information are correctly issued, tracked and controlled throughout the project lifecycle.
The role suits an organised Document Controller who enjoys working in a fast-paced construction environment and understands the importance of accurate document management to successful project delivery.
Must Have Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Document Controller within the construction industry.
• Experience working with a main contractor or construction company is required.
• Strong knowledge of document control procedures and construction documentation.
• Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong IT skills with experience using document management systems and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Experience:
• Experience working across Commercial, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Education or Residential construction projects.
• Knowledge of platforms such as Viewpoint, Procore, Asite, Aconex or similar document control systems.
• Experience supporting multiple live projects simultaneously.
Nice to Have:
• Construction-related qualification.
• Experience working within ISO quality management systems.
• Understanding of drawing revision control and project workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the receipt, distribution and storage of project documentation.
• Maintain drawing registers, technical submissions and revision histories.
• Issue drawings and project documentation to site teams, consultants and subcontractors.
• Ensure all documentation is accurately filed and easily accessible.
• Monitor document workflows and ensure information is issued within project deadlines.
• Support project teams with document control procedures and compliance.
• Liaise with design consultants, clients and internal departments regarding document revisions.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure document control standards are consistently followed.
About You
You have previous experience working as a Document Controller within the construction industry and understand how critical accurate documentation is to successful project delivery. You are highly organised, capable of managing multiple priorities and comfortable working with project teams across a variety of construction sectors.
You communicate well with colleagues, consultants and subcontractors while maintaining a proactive approach to document management. Your attention to detail and ability to keep projects running efficiently make you a valuable member of any construction team.
