Due to continued growth, they are seeking an E&I Engineer to join their engineering team based in Mallow, Co Cork.
The Role: E&I Engineer
The E&I Engineer will be responsible for the design, commissioning, troubleshooting, and support of electrical and instrumentation systems associated with process water treatment systems serving data centre and industrial infrastructure projects.
Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, automation specialists, commissioning personnel, and clients, you will play a key role in delivering technically complex water treatment systems from design through to commissioning and handover.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineer looking to further develop their career within a growing specialist engineering business.
Must Have Requirements
You are a technically strong engineer with a passion for electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
You enjoy solving complex engineering challenges, working closely with project teams, and seeing projects through from concept to commissioning.
You have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering environments.

The Role: E&I Engineer

Must Have Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an E&I Engineering role.
- Experience working with industrial process systems or water treatment projects.
- Strong understanding of instrumentation, control systems, and electrical installations.
- Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems.
- Experience supporting commissioning and startup activities.
- Experience within water treatment, wastewater treatment, or industrial process environments.
- Knowledge of electrical design and instrumentation documentation.
- Experience producing P&IDs, loop diagrams, cable schedules, and control panel layouts.
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Data centre or mission-critical project experience.
- Knowledge of reverse osmosis systems, cooling water treatment, and chemical dosing systems.
- Experience with Siemens, Rockwell, or Schneider automation platforms.
- Understanding of process control and system optimisation.
- Design and review electrical and instrumentation systems for process water treatment facilities.
- Develop and review P&IDs, loop diagrams, cable schedules, and control panel layouts.
- Specify and integrate field instrumentation including flow, pressure, level, conductivity, and pH monitoring systems.
- Support PLC and SCADA integration activities and control philosophy development.
- Participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control system issues during commissioning and operation.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications, engineering standards, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering, construction, and commissioning teams.
- Support project delivery from design through installation, testing, and handover.
- Contribute to technical reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
