The Role: EHS Advisor
An experienced EHS Advisor is required for a major data centre construction project in Dublin.
Working closely with the Site EHS Manager, EHS Lead and project management team, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation and monitoring of health, safety and environmental procedures across a busy construction site.
This is a site based position involving regular safety inspections, subcontractor coordination, risk assessments and ensuring all works are carried out in compliance with Irish health and safety legislation and project safety standards.
The role will suit an EHS Advisor with experience on large construction projects who is confident working with site management teams and subcontractors in a technically demanding environment.

You are an experienced EHS Advisor with a solid background in construction health and safety and a practical understanding of the challenges involved in delivering large scale projects.
You will be comfortable working in a busy site environment, communicating with subcontractors, engineers and project managers while ensuring safety standards are consistently maintained.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the confidence to address unsafe working practices are essential.
Experience on data centre construction projects would be particularly beneficial, although candidates from pharmaceutical, industrial or major commercial construction backgrounds will also be considered.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have a relevant third level qualification in Health and Safety or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an EHS Advisor, Health and Safety Advisor or similar role on large construction projects.
- Proven experience required in site safety inspections, risk assessments, method statements and incident reporting.
- Strong working knowledge of Irish construction health and safety legislation, including PSCS requirements.
- Good communication and IT skills with the ability to manage safety documentation and engage effectively with site teams.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience on data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial or large scale M&E construction projects.
- Experience working with a main contractor or specialist engineering contractor.
- Familiarity with permit to work systems, COSHH assessments and subcontractor safety management.
- Experience supporting EHS management systems on major construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Site EHS Manager and project management team in maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Ensure compliance with project safety management systems, PSCS safety plans and relevant Irish legislation.
- Review risk assessments, method statements, Safe Plans of Action and permit to work documentation.
- Carry out regular site safety inspections and audits, documenting findings and following up on corrective actions.
- Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with project EHS procedures.
- Coordinate site inductions, safety training and toolbox talks.
- Assist with accident and incident investigations, ensuring accurate reporting and communication with project management.
- Maintain records of statutory inspections relating to plant, equipment and site activities.
- Attend daily activity briefings, site coordination meetings and safety reviews.
- Monitor the safe management of hazardous substances and ensure appropriate COSHH controls are maintained.
- Ensure welfare facilities and site hygiene standards are properly maintained.
- Support waste reduction, recycling and environmental management initiatives.
- Promote a proactive safety culture across all site activities and encourage continuous improvement.
