The Company

An Irish main contractor delivering high quality construction projects across the healthcare, commercial and public sector markets.

The company has a strong focus on health and safety, quality workmanship and programme delivery, particularly on projects where construction activities must be carefully managed around existing operations.

They are now seeking an experienced EHS Advisor to support the delivery of a healthcare construction project within a live facility environment.

The Role: EHS Advisor

As EHS Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining high environmental, health and safety standards throughout the delivery of a healthcare construction project.

Working closely with the Project Manager, site management team and subcontractors, you will ensure all construction activities are carried out safely and in compliance with company procedures and relevant health and safety legislation.

This role will suit an experienced EHS Advisor with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience who understands the challenges of managing construction safety within a live healthcare environment.

Must Have Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' relevant EHS experience within the construction industry.

  • Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and construction site requirements.

  • Proven experience carrying out site inspections, audits and EHS reporting.

  • Experience working closely with site management teams and subcontractors to maintain safe working practices.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience on healthcare or hospital construction projects.

  • Experience managing health and safety within live operational facilities.

  • Experience working with an Irish main contractor.

  • Relevant third level qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain high environmental, health and safety standards across the project.

  • Carry out regular site inspections, safety audits and EHS reporting.

  • Work closely with site management, subcontractors and the wider project team.

  • Ensure compliance with company EHS procedures and relevant health and safety legislation.

  • Support the safe coordination of construction activities within the live healthcare facility.

  • Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and ensure appropriate control measures are implemented.

  • Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.

  • Identify potential hazards and work with site management to implement corrective actions.

  • Assist with incident investigations, reporting and follow up actions.

  • Maintain accurate EHS documentation and support ongoing improvements in site safety performance.

About You

You will be an experienced EHS Advisor with at least 5 years' relevant construction health and safety experience and a practical understanding of site operations.

You will be confident working alongside Project Managers, Site Managers and subcontractors, ensuring safety procedures are followed without unnecessarily disrupting programme delivery.

Strong communication skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and managing site risks will be essential.

Experience working on healthcare projects or within live operational environments would be particularly beneficial.

What's on Offer

Salary: €65,000 to €70,000 DOE

Benefits:

  • Company vehicle or vehicle allowance.

  • Opportunity to work on a healthcare construction project.

  • Long term career progression.

  • Experience working within a live healthcare environment.

  • Support from an experienced project management team.

Why Apply?

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced EHS Advisor to take on a responsible position within a healthcare construction project, where maintaining high safety standards is essential to successful project delivery.
