Job title: EHS Manager – Data Centre Construction
Location: Vaasa, Finland

Package: Up to €105,000 + flights + accommodation + €250 net per week living away allowance

This leading International data centre contractor delivers major turnkey projects across Europe, covering civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical construction through to commissioning.
With multiple large-scale data centre projects under construction across Europe, the company offers long-term opportunities for experienced EHS professionals working within technically demanding construction environments.
The Role: EHS Manager
The EHS Manager will be based on a major data centre project in Vaasa, Finland, reporting to the EHS Lead and working closely with project management, construction teams and subcontractors.
You will take responsibility for EHS compliance across the project, ensuring works are carried out in line with the company Safety Management System, statutory requirements and agreed site procedures.

You will be organised, practical and comfortable working with construction managers, subcontractors and senior project teams while maintaining a strong focus on compliance, reporting and safe programme delivery.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have a relevant degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing EHS on large-scale construction projects
- Strong knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation and construction site requirements
- Proven experience managing EHS across complex construction sites
- Data centre construction experience is highly desirable
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project compliance with the Safety Management System
- Develop and maintain Construction Stage Health & Safety Plans
- Review RAMS, Safe Plans of Action and permit-to-work documentation
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits and EHS reporting
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with project safety procedures
- Coordinate site inductions, EHS training and safety initiatives
- Manage incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are closed out
- Maintain accurate EHS records, statutory inspections and performance reporting
