This international engineering services contractor is one of Europe's leading providers of engineering services, delivering complex data centre, pharmaceutical, life sciences, industrial and power projects across Ireland and mainland Europe.
With a substantial pipeline of hyperscale data centre developments secured for the coming years, the business continues to invest in its commissioning teams and is now seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join a flagship project in Denmark.
The Role: Electrical Commissioning Engineer
Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, you will take ownership of the testing, commissioning and successful handover of critical electrical infrastructure on a major hyperscale data centre project.
Working alongside Project Managers, Design Engineers, Construction Managers, specialist vendors and client commissioning teams, you will ensure all electrical systems are installed, tested and commissioned to the highest standards of safety, quality and reliability.
This is a senior technical role where you will play a key part in delivering one of Europe's most technically demanding mission-critical projects.
Must Have Requirements
You are an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer who enjoys taking ownership of technically challenging projects and delivering critical electrical infrastructure to the highest standards.
You are confident working directly with clients, consultants, subcontractors and commissioning teams while maintaining excellent attention to detail throughout testing, commissioning and project handover.
You thrive in fast-paced mission-critical environments where reliability, accuracy and technical excellence are essential.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have a degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years' commissioning experience on large-scale electrical construction projects.
- Proven experience commissioning critical electrical infrastructure including LV distribution, UPS systems, generators, transformers and switchgear.
- Experience working on data centres, pharmaceutical, industrial or other mission-critical projects is required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate clients, vendors and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Experience leading commissioning activities across major construction projects.
- Experience developing commissioning plans, procedures and integrated testing programmes.
- Knowledge of Uptime Institute Tier Standards, IEC and IEEE electrical standards.
- Experience coordinating Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
- Previous experience mentoring Graduate or Junior Commissioning Engineers.
- Previous experience on European data centre projects.
- Authorised Person or switching experience.
- Knowledge of BMS integration and critical power systems.
- Experience with energisation planning and client handover processes.
- Lead the testing and commissioning of critical electrical systems throughout project delivery.
- Prepare and implement detailed commissioning plans, procedures and project programmes.
- Commission LV electrical distribution systems, UPS systems, switchgear, transformers, standby generators and associated infrastructure.
- Carry out functional testing, load bank testing, fault finding and integrated systems testing.
- Coordinate commissioning activities with Project Managers, Design Engineers, construction teams, subcontractors and client representatives.
- Lead commissioning meetings and provide technical guidance throughout the commissioning phase.
- Manage Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and final system validation.
- Ensure all electrical systems comply with project specifications, client requirements and relevant international standards.
- Identify technical issues, develop solutions and support timely project delivery.
- Prepare commissioning reports, test documentation, handover records and final project files.
- Support energisation, integrated systems testing and final client handover.
- Promote the highest standards of Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and technical compliance throughout commissioning activities.
- Mentor and support junior commissioning engineers where required.
