Electrical Design Engineer Skills:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- 1+ years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer (experience in HV/MV or energy projects is an advantage).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of electrical design principles, standards, and system protection.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail, with strong written and numerical ability.
As an Electrical Design Engineer:
- Design HV/MV substations and control/protection systems for major energy projects.
- Produce design documentation, including SLDs, layouts, and schematics.
- Deliver detailed designs covering high and low-voltage equipment and control/protection systems.
- Prepare and interpret technical specifications and enquiry documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant design standards and client requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver effective project outcomes.
- Support the preparation of technical and contractual documentation for tender and project stages.
- Monitor design progress and prepare status and progress reports.
- Develop method statements and risk assessments.
- Assist with technical issue resolution throughout project design and delivery phases.
