The Company
This long-established industrial electrical engineering contractor has been delivering electrical, mechanical and automation solutions to Irish industry for over 65 years.
Working with many of Ireland's largest manufacturing and process facilities, the business provides electrical installations, motor control, automation, maintenance, rotating equipment services, and industrial power solutions across the pharmaceutical, food and beverage, cement, manufacturing, and heavy industrial sectors.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Estimator to support their expanding portfolio of industrial electrical projects throughout Munster.
The Role: Electrical Estimator
As Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and commercially competitive tenders for industrial electrical projects ranging from maintenance shutdowns through to major capital installations.
Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, suppliers and clients, you will develop detailed cost estimates, evaluate project risks, prepare tender submissions, and support successful project delivery from tender stage through contract award.

Must Have Requirements
You are an experienced Electrical Estimator with a strong understanding of industrial electrical installations and commercial tendering.
Whether your background is estimating, project engineering, or electrical contracting, you understand how industrial projects are delivered and enjoy developing accurate, commercially competitive bids.
You are organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while maintaining strong relationships with clients and project teams.

Must Have Requirements
- Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator within the industrial electrical or M&E sector.
- Electrical trade background or Electrical Engineering qualification.
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical installations.
- Experience pricing projects within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food processing, utilities, or heavy industrial environments.
- Excellent commercial awareness and strong analytical skills.
- Full Irish driving licence.
- Experience pricing industrial power distribution projects.
- Knowledge of Motor Control Centres (MCCs), LV distribution systems, process automation, instrumentation, and control panels.
- Experience interpreting electrical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
- Strong supplier and subcontractor negotiation skills.
- Experience attending client meetings and site surveys.
- Knowledge of industrial maintenance shutdowns.
- Experience using estimating software.
- Exposure to value engineering and commercial risk management.
- Experience working with blue-chip manufacturing clients.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive tender submissions for industrial electrical projects.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
- Complete material take-offs and labour calculations.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to develop commercially competitive tenders.
- Attend client meetings and carry out site visits throughout Munster where required.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities for value engineering.
- Prepare pricing schedules, tender documentation, and supporting commercial submissions.
- Support project handover following successful contract award.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Assist senior management with workload forecasting and tender planning.
You are an experienced Electrical Estimator with a strong understanding of industrial electrical installations and commercial tendering.
