The Company

This Irish M&E contractor delivers large scale mechanical and electrical projects across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe, with a strong project pipeline across data centres, pharmaceutical, industrial and other technically complex sectors.

They are looking for an Electrical Project Engineer to join their European operations and support the delivery of a major project in Frankfurt, Germany.

The Role: Electrical Project Engineer

As Electrical Project Engineer, you will work closely with the Project Manager, Contracts Manager, Design and Commercial teams to coordinate the technical delivery of the electrical package.

You will be involved from construction through commissioning and handover, with responsibility for technical submittals, RFIs, drawings, procurement, subcontractor coordination and project documentation.

Must Have Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Electrical Project Engineer experience on large scale construction or M&E projects
• Strong understanding of electrical installations and technical project delivery
• Good working knowledge of MS Project and Microsoft Office

Key Responsibilities

• Manage technical submittals and maintain the RFI schedule
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Design Engineers and the commercial team
• Ensure site teams are working from the latest drawings and specifications
• Monitor long lead electrical plant and equipment procurement
• Redline drawings with as-built information for the design team
• Monitor subcontractor compliance and electrical installation quality
• Assist the QS with variations, procurement and supporting documentation
• Attend site and coordination meetings
• Maintain project documentation and correspondence
• Support commissioning, O&M documentation and final handover
• Ensure works comply with relevant Building Regulations, standards and EHSQ requirements

About You

You will be an Electrical Engineer with experience supporting the delivery of large scale M&E projects and a good understanding of the technical and coordination requirements involved.

You should be comfortable working with site teams, subcontractors, Design Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers throughout the construction programme.

Experience with AutoCAD would be beneficial, along with previous exposure to data centre, mission critical, pharmaceutical or industrial projects.
