Electrical Project Manager Skills:
- Relevant 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Ideally 5 years’ experience in a management role within the electrical industry
- Proven ability to deliver large-scale electrical projects from concept through to handover
- Strong understanding of financial management, commercial awareness, and budgetary control
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate and motivate project teams
- Excellent organisational skills with strong planning and scheduling capability
- Proficient IT skills with the ability to collate and generate detailed site reports
- Strong communication skills with experience liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
- Health, Safety and Environmental awareness with the ability to implement safe systems of work
- Lead electrical construction projects from concept stage through to completion
- Develop project plans, execution strategies, and delivery programmes
- Coordinate the daily activities of the project team to ensure smooth site delivery
- Manage design development, value engineering, and support pre & post contract activities
- Manage all aspects of procurement, including subcontractor packages and supply chain coordination
- Monitor material usage, labour allocation, and resource planning to maintain project performance
- Liaise with teams to ensure weekly reporting, scheduling, and programme updates are completed accurately
- Conduct project meetings with internal teams, subcontractors, and client stakeholders to track progress and resolve issues
- Oversee and control the efficient use of resources and materials to support budget and programme targets
- Implement company Health & Safety procedures on each project, ensuring compliance and best practice on site
