The Role – Electrical Project Manager
This role will see you take full responsibility for the delivery of electrical projects within the water and wastewater sector, managing everything from planning and procurement through to site delivery, commissioning and handover.
You will work closely with the Contract Manager, clients and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget. The role combines technical oversight, project coordination and commercial awareness, making it ideal for an Electrical Project Engineer ready to step up or an experienced Electrical Project Manager seeking a strong pipeline of long-term work.

Salary: €75,000 to €95,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Contract Manager
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations ensuring full specification compliance
- Prepare technical submissions and reports for Client approval
- Generate contract programmes of work
- Monitor and update project progress against the contract programme
- Schedule resources and subcontractors to meet delivery timelines
- Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for upcoming works
- Implement project quality control procedures
- Manage site liaison with subcontractors and Client Project and Resident Engineers
- Coordinate directly employed trades including electricians and fitters
- Supervise site activities ensuring safety, quality and programme targets are achieved
- Schedule crews and subcontractors effectively across projects
- Track project financials and report on performance
- Carry out site surveys and develop work packages
- Maintain and update Site Safety Files in line with HSA regulations
- Attend site for safety audits and project supervision
- Update construction drawings in line with vendor packages
- Manage document control across all aspects of the contract
- Maintain variation and change order logs
- Compile O&M manuals for project handover
- Degree or trade background in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years experience in an Electrical Project Engineering or Project Management role
- Experience delivering electrical projects within utilities, industrial or infrastructure sectors
- Strong understanding of plant design, construction and commissioning
- Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating site teams
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD with the ability to update drawings
- Strong commercial awareness and project delivery skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Proactive and practical approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience within the water and wastewater sector
- Exposure to treatment plants, pumping stations or process environments
Salary: €75,000 to €95,000 DOE
