Electrical Quantity Surveyor – Electrical & E&I Projects

The Role – Electrical Quantity Surveyor
As an Electrical Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial ownership of electrical and E&I packages across live construction projects. Based in Ireland, the role combines head office commercial management with regular site engagement, ensuring strong cost control, accurate reporting and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
You will work closely with project managers, engineers, clients and the supply chain to protect commercial performance, manage risk and support successful project delivery across pharmaceutical, data centre and power infrastructure builds.
Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate and interpret contract documentation for electrical and E&I works
• Prepare, review and manage supplier and subcontractor enquiries
• Issue and administer subcontract documentation
• Assess and price variations, changes in scope and compensation events
• Prepare, submit and agree monthly interim valuations and progress claims
• Manage subcontractor accounts, including payments, variations and final accounts
• Maintain accurate records of claims, certificates, retentions and commercial correspondence
• Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts and cash flow projections
• Provide commercial analysis and risk identification to senior management
• Support project teams with contractual and commercial guidance
• Ensure commercial processes align with company quality and governance standards
About You
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Electrical Quantity Surveyor within an electrical contracting environment
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial procedures
• Proven track record managing subcontractor accounts and project financial performance
• Experience in electrical tenders advantageous
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, MS Teams and MS Project
• Organised, commercially aware and capable of working independently and as part of a collaborative commercial team
