You are an experienced Estimator who will be joining the pre-construction team and taking the lead in preparing accurate and competitive mechanical and electrical tenders based in Galway.
You will play a critical role in winning new work by producing clear and thorough cost estimates and supporting the commercial and operations teams from bid stage through to handover.
This role suits someone detail-oriented, commercially aware, and capable of interpreting technical M&E designs, specifications, and tender documentation.

Estimator Skills:
- Minimum 3–5 years of estimating experience in a mechanical and/or electrical contracting environment
- Solid understanding of M&E systems, construction methodology, and project sequencing
- Proficient in estimation and take-off software (e.g., Excel, Bluebeam, Trimble, CostX, or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
As an Estimator:
- Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications for M&E works
- Prepare detailed take-offs and accurate cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and combined services packages
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations and scope clarification
- Analyse project risks, exclusions, and assumptions and include these in tender submissions
- Assist with compiling tender packages, proposals, and presentation documents
- Attend tender clarification meetings and liaise with design teams and clients where required
- Collaborate with project managers and QSs to ensure a smooth handover of successful bids
- Maintain a library of unit costs, rates, and benchmarking data for future use
- Keep up to date with industry pricing trends, labour rates, and market conditions
