Job title: Graduate Quantity Surveyor – Data Centre Construction

Based on a major data centre development in Sines, Portugal, this role offers an outstanding opportunity for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to gain hands-on experience on one of Europe's fastest-growing construction sectors while working alongside experienced commercial and project teams.
The Role: Graduate Quantity Surveyor
As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor based in Sines, Portugal, you will join a structured graduate programme designed to provide exposure to all aspects of commercial management on large-scale data centre projects.
Working closely with Senior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers, you will support cost control, procurement, valuations, reporting, and subcontractor management while developing a strong understanding of programme delivery within a live construction environment.
This role provides valuable international project exposure and a clear pathway into a long-term commercial career within the data centre sector.
Must Have Requirements:
• Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
• Must be graduating in 2025 or 2026
• Strong numerical and analytical skills are required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be willing to relocate to Sines, Portugal
Preferred Experience:
• Placement or internship experience within construction or quantity surveying
• Knowledge of cost reporting and procurement processes
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
• Exposure to construction management software would be beneficial
Nice to Have:
• Data centre or mission-critical project exposure
• Additional construction-related qualifications
• International project experience
• Knowledge of measurement and valuation processes
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the preparation of budgets, cost plans, and tender documentation
• Support the measurement and valuation of works from drawings and site information
• Assist with subcontractor procurement and tender evaluations
• Monitor project costs and support commercial reporting processes
• Track project progress and identify commercial risks and opportunities
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams
• Maintain accurate commercial records and project documentation
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and health and safety requirements
