Health and Safety Advisor – Data Centre Construction

The Role – Health and Safety Advisor
As Health and Safety Advisor, you will be site based on a large data centre project in Vaasa, supporting the Project Management team and the Site Health and Safety Lead. You will play a key role in maintaining high safety standards across all construction activities, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements and project specific safety systems.
This is a hands on role with real influence on site culture, quality of execution and workforce safety.
Key Responsibilities
• Supporting the Project Management team and Site Health and Safety Lead
• Implementing and maintaining the project Safety Management System
• Ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety legislation
• Reviewing method statements, risk assessments and permits to work
• Monitoring adherence to the project execution and safety plans
• Managing COSHH assessments and control of hazardous substances
• Carrying out regular site audits, inspections and safety interventions
• Recording findings and driving corrective actions to close out issues
• Promoting best practice safety standards across all subcontractors
About You
• Degree qualified in Environmental, Health and Safety or similar
• Minimum of 3 years experience on large scale construction projects
• Strong knowledge of current European health and safety legislation
• Experience working on complex projects such as data centres, pharma or industrial builds
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence site teams
• Highly organised with strong reporting and IT skills
• Proactive approach to safety, compliance and continuous improvement
