Job title: Health & Safety Advisor – Residential Construction
Location: Maynooth, Co Kildare

Package: €60,000 to €70,000 + package
The Company
This well-established Irish main contractor has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential developments across Dublin, Kildare and the wider Leinster region. With a strong order book and a consistent pipeline of projects, they are recognised for delivering modern housing schemes to a high standard while maintaining an excellent safety culture.
They are now seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join the team on a large residential development in Maynooth, Co Kildare. You will work alongside an experienced project team, ensuring the highest standards of health and safety are maintained throughout all stages of construction.
The Role: Health & Safety Advisor
Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will take responsibility for promoting and maintaining a positive safety culture on a busy residential construction project in Maynooth, Co Kildare.
Working closely with site management, subcontractors and the wider project team, you will ensure compliance with current legislation, company procedures and best practice while supporting the safe delivery of the project.
Must Have Requirements:
• Must have 3+ years' experience as a Health & Safety Advisor on construction projects in Ireland.
• A relevant Health & Safety qualification is required.
• Experience working with a main contractor is required.
• Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and construction site procedures.
• Full driving licence.
Preferred Experience:
• Residential construction experience preferred.
• Experience using digital inspection and reporting systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have:
• IOSH or additional safety qualifications.
• Manual Handling, First Aid or Temporary Works awareness.
• Experience delivering toolbox talks and safety training.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out regular site inspections and safety audits.
• Promote a positive health and safety culture across the project.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and current legislation.
• Prepare inspection reports and monitor corrective actions.
• Assist with risk assessments, method statements and permit systems.
• Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions where required.
• Work closely with site management to improve overall safety performance.
• Liaise with subcontractors to ensure safe systems of work are maintained.
• Support the successful delivery of the residential project while maintaining high safety standards.
About You:
You are an organised Health & Safety Advisor with experience working on Irish construction projects, ideally within the residential sector. You are confident carrying out inspections, communicating with site teams and ensuring compliance across busy construction sites.
You enjoy working collaboratively with project teams and are committed to creating a proactive safety culture where health and safety remains a priority throughout programme delivery.
