The Role: Health & Safety Advisor

This Health & Safety Advisor position is based from the Blanchardstown office with regular visits to active project sites. Working closely with operational teams, site management, and senior leadership, you will help maintain and improve health and safety standards across multiple live utilities and infrastructure projects.

The successful Health & Safety Advisor will play an important role in promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring legislative compliance, and supporting project teams in delivering work safely and efficiently.

Must Have Requirements:

•  Must have 5 years' experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role within construction, utilities, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects
•  Full clean driving licence is required
•  Proven experience required carrying out site audits, inspections, and safety reporting
•  Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and industry best practice
•  Experience working across multiple live construction or utilities projects is required

Preferred Experience:

•  Utilities, infrastructure, civils, power, telecoms, or water sector experience preferred
•  Experience using digital safety management systems beneficial
•  NEBOSH, Diploma, Degree, or equivalent Health & Safety qualification advantageous

Nice to Have:

•  Internal auditor training
•  Temporary works awareness
•  Incident investigation qualifications
•  Environmental management experience

Key Responsibilities:

•  Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety assessments
•  Support site management teams with risk assessments and method statements
•  Monitor compliance with company procedures and statutory requirements
•  Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformances
•  Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training sessions
•  Prepare detailed reports and recommendations following inspections
•  Assist with continuous improvement initiatives across projects
•  Maintain accurate safety documentation and records
•  Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies where required
•  Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organisation

About You

You are an experienced Health & Safety Advisor with a strong background in construction, utilities, or infrastructure environments. You understand the challenges of managing safety across multiple live sites and can build positive relationships with site teams while maintaining high standards.

You have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential risks. A full clean driving licence is essential as this Health & Safety Advisor role involves regular travel between office and project locations.
