The Role – Health & Safety Coordinator

As a Health and Safety Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of safe, compliant and high-quality engineering projects across multiple sites. Working closely with the Health and Safety Manager and site teams, you will help drive best practice, ensure full regulatory compliance and promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organisation.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is confident on-site, detail-focused and capable of influencing teams to prioritise safety at every stage of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of health and safety policies and procedures
  • Carry out regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments across multiple locations
  • Ensure full compliance with Irish and EU health and safety legislation
  • Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and ongoing H&S training
  • Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate health and safety documentation including reports, registers and training records
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers and supervisors to ensure safe project delivery
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders when required
  • Promote and embed a strong safety-first culture across all teams and sites

About You

  • Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline, NEBOSH or IOSH preferred
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a health and safety role within construction, engineering or industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and best practice
  • Experience working across multiple sites is highly advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and reporting ability
  • Proactive, solutions-driven approach to safety management
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
