The Company
This well established Irish mechanical building services contractor delivers high specification HVAC and mechanical packages across life sciences, pharmaceutical, advanced manufacturing and commercial projects in Dublin and the wider Leinster region. The company is recognised for delivering technically complex building services projects in highly regulated environments where quality, safety and programme certainty are critical.
With a strong pipeline of pharmaceutical and industrial projects in Dublin, they continue to grow their mechanical engineering team and are now seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to support ongoing and upcoming developments.
The Role – HVAC Engineer
As HVAC Engineer, you will take ownership of the delivery of HVAC systems on high value building services projects in Dublin. Working closely with the Project Manager, design consultants and specialist subcontractors, you will ensure that all heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems are installed safely, to specification and in line with strict programme milestones.
This is a site focused mechanical engineering role with real responsibility for quality control, technical compliance and coordinated project delivery within pharmaceutical and industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the installation of HVAC systems including AHUs, ductwork, chilled water, LTHW, ventilation and associated plant
• Coordinate mechanical subcontractors and specialist HVAC contractors on site
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and site procedures
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications and technical submittals
• Support programme delivery through short term planning and progress monitoring
• Liaise with consultants and resolve design and technical queries
• Manage quality inspections, pressure testing, flushing, balancing and commissioning activities
• Ensure accurate documentation including as built drawings and O&M manuals
• Attend site meetings and report progress to senior management and client representatives
About You
• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or similar
• Minimum 3 years experience as an HVAC Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or Building Services Engineer
• Strong experience delivering HVAC systems on pharmaceutical, life sciences, industrial or data centre projects
• Solid understanding of chilled water systems, ventilation systems, ductwork and mechanical installations
• Excellent knowledge of Irish building regulations and health and safety standards
• Strong coordination skills with the ability to manage subcontractors effectively
• Detail driven with a focus on quality, safety and meeting deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary project team
What’s on Offer
