The Role: Junior / Intermediate Quantity Surveyor
Based primarily from the Galway head office, this Junior / Intermediate Quantity Surveyor role will support the commercial team across a range of live construction projects in Galway and surrounding areas.
You will work closely with Senior Quantity Surveyors and project teams, gaining exposure across procurement, subcontractor management, cost reporting and commercial administration. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to build strong experience with a busy main contractor delivering a varied portfolio of projects.
The role offers a strong balance of office based commercial work along with regular exposure to live construction sites and project delivery teams.

About You
You will come from a construction or Quantity Surveying background with a strong interest in developing your career within a main contractor environment.
You should be organised, commercially aware and capable of managing multiple tasks across live construction projects. Strong communication skills are important as you will work closely with site teams, subcontractors and senior commercial staff on a daily basis.
This role will suit a Junior Quantity Surveyor or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor looking for long term progression within a well established Galway based contractor.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have 1 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction
- Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or related construction discipline required
- Experience with a main contractor or subcontractor environment is preferred
- Strong numerical, reporting and commercial skills required
Preferred Experience
- Experience on commercial, residential or healthcare construction projects
- Exposure to subcontractor procurement and valuations
- Knowledge of Irish construction contracts and cost reporting
- Experience using Excel and commercial management software beneficial
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with project cost control and commercial reporting
- Support subcontractor procurement, tender reviews and package management
- Prepare interim valuations, variations and final accounts
- Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks
- Work closely with site management and project teams to track progress
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting
- Support the commercial team with contract administration duties
- Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation
