Junior Quantity Surveyor Skills:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying
- 2 years’ experience in a main contractor, engineering consultancy, or fabrication company environment advantageous
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks, Revit or similar packages
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to deadlines
- Ability to work in a team and support on-site personnel
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare estimates for time, cost, materials, and labour
- Conduct quantity surveying duties including measurements, valuations, and agreement of work sections
- Support tendering, procurement, and cost reporting processes
- Track project variations and prepare claims, final accounts, and valuations to strict deadlines
- Assist with budget management and forecasting, supporting the on-site team with cost control
- Attend site meetings and liaise with project teams to ensure accurate financial tracking
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all quantity surveying activities
