M&E Coordinator Skills:
- Degree or diploma in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5+ years’ experience in M&E coordination within the construction industry, ideally with main contractors.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, fire protection, and building automation.
- Familiarity with BIM coordination processes and tools such as Navisworks or Revizto is a strong advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Strong understanding of Irish building regulations and relevant health and safety standards.
- Ability to interpret M&E drawings and specifications accurately.
As a M&E Coordinator:
- Coordinate all mechanical and electrical (M&E) activities on-site, working closely with subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams.
- Support the project team in reviewing M&E design drawings, identifying conflicts, and driving resolution through coordination and design workshops.
- Manage the installation, commissioning, and handover of M&E services across multiple project phases.
- Liaise with architects, structural engineers, and design teams to ensure M&E integration with core building elements.
- Review technical submittals, RFI responses, and drawings to verify compliance with project specifications and statutory regulations.
- Monitor M&E contractor performance to ensure programme and budget targets are met.
- Ensure M&E systems comply with health and safety regulations, building codes, and sustainability targets.
- Report progress and flag issues through regular coordination meetings and status reports.
- Support testing, commissioning, and certification processes for M&E services.
