The Company
A long established Irish main contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality education, healthcare, commercial and residential projects across Dublin and the wider Leinster region. With a strong order book and a collaborative approach to project delivery, they continue to secure repeat business across both public and private sector developments.
They are commencing two new education projects in October, each valued at approximately €15 million, involving the construction of new school buildings on existing live campuses in Rathcoole and Stepaside, Co Dublin. They are now looking to appoint an experienced M&E Coordinator to oversee mechanical and electrical services across both sites.
The Role: M&E Coordinator
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will coordinate all mechanical and electrical services across two education projects located approximately 20 minutes apart. Working closely with the design team, subcontractors and site management, you will ensure all M&E installations are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
This is a hands on coordination role requiring strong technical knowledge, excellent planning skills and previous experience with a main contractor on Irish construction projects. You will play a key role in programme delivery while ensuring M&E services are fully integrated with the overall construction works.
Must Have Requirements
You have a strong background coordinating M&E services on Irish construction projects and understand the importance of delivering quality installations while maintaining programme. You communicate well with subcontractors, consultants and site teams and enjoy working in a collaborative environment.
You are organised, technically strong and capable of managing multiple work fronts across two nearby projects while maintaining attention to detail throughout the construction programme.

Must Have Requirements
- Proven experience as an M&E Coordinator with an Irish main contractor is required
- Must have experience coordinating mechanical and electrical subcontractors on building projects
- Strong understanding of M&E services installation, commissioning and quality control
- Experience working on education, healthcare, commercial or similar construction projects
- Experience delivering projects on live or occupied campuses
- Strong knowledge of BCAR requirements and commissioning processes
- Experience using Procore, BIM 360 or similar construction management software
- Degree or trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering
- Safe Pass and relevant site certifications
- Strong understanding of Irish Building Regulations
- Coordinate all mechanical and electrical services across both school projects
- Manage M&E subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently
- Monitor programme and identify potential delays before they impact construction
- Review drawings, specifications and technical submissions
- Coordinate builders work requirements with site management teams
- Attend design, coordination and subcontractor meetings
- Oversee testing, commissioning and project handover activities
- Maintain high standards of quality, health and safety, and technical compliance
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and the commercial team to ensure successful project delivery
