The Company
This established Irish civil engineering contractor has a strong track record delivering complex infrastructure projects across Dublin and throughout Ireland, with experience spanning roads, transport infrastructure, utilities and major civil engineering works.
The business has secured a strong long-term pipeline of work across Dublin, including multi-year rail infrastructure frameworks. They are known for technically challenging civil works, strong site teams and a practical approach to project delivery.
The Role: Site Agent
As Site Agent, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of civil engineering projects across Dublin, Co Dublin.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will manage site teams including engineers and foremen while coordinating subcontractors, programme, commercial matters, design issues and client requirements.
This is a senior site-based position suited to a Site Agent with strong civil engineering experience who can take ownership of projects and drive them safely through programme to completion.

About You
You are an experienced Site Agent with at least 10 years working across civil engineering projects and a strong understanding of how major infrastructure works are delivered on the ground.
You will be comfortable managing engineers and foremen, dealing with commercial and contractual matters and coordinating multiple work fronts. Strong programme awareness, technical knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors and the wider project team are essential.

- Must have 10+ years’ experience working on civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Proven experience required managing site teams including engineers, foremen and subcontractors
- Strong commercial experience and understanding of project costs, variations and contractual requirements
- Experience delivering civil engineering projects with a main contractor is required
- Full Irish driving licence required
Preferred Experience
- Design & Build project experience preferred
- Roads, transport, rail, utilities or major infrastructure experience beneficial
- Experience working on long-term civil engineering frameworks advantageous
- Strong client and stakeholder management experience
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the safe and successful delivery of civil engineering projects
- Manage engineers, foremen, subcontractors and site personnel
- Drive programme delivery and ensure works remain on schedule
- Coordinate construction activities, temporary works and site logistics
- Work closely with the commercial team on costs, variations and project performance
- Review drawings, specifications and design information
- Coordinate Design & Build requirements with consultants and project teams where applicable
- Maintain high standards of quality and technical compliance
- Liaise with clients, consultants, local authorities and other project stakeholders
- Ensure accurate progress reporting and site records
- Maintain strong health and safety standards across all works
