The Role – Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor
This is a senior commercial position within the organisation, taking responsibility for the full financial and contractual management of M&E packages on large-scale construction projects. You will lead the commercial function on projects, ensuring robust cost control, accurate reporting and effective risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
Working closely with senior project stakeholders, you will influence commercial strategy, support project delivery teams and ensure that all M&E works are delivered in line with budget, programme and contractual obligations.

Salary: €75,000 – €90,000 (DOE)

The Role – Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor

Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing all commercial aspects of mechanical and electrical packages from pre-construction through to final account
- Leading the preparation and management of detailed cost plans, budgets and bills of quantities
- Managing tender processes, subcontractor procurement and commercial negotiations
- Monitoring project costs, variations and valuations to ensure accurate and proactive financial control
- Preparing and presenting detailed cost reports, cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete analysis
- Managing and mentoring junior commercial team members where required
- Administering contracts, ensuring compliance with all commercial and contractual requirements
- Managing subcontractor accounts, payments and final account agreements
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risks while maximising project opportunities
- Supporting value engineering initiatives and contributing to overall project efficiency
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- 5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role with strong exposure to M&E or building services projects
- Proven track record managing commercial aspects of large-scale construction or engineering projects
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems within sectors such as pharma, industrial, data centres or commercial builds
- Excellent knowledge of construction contracts, procurement strategies and cost control processes
- Proficient in cost management software and advanced Excel skills
- Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills
- Commercially astute with the ability to influence project outcomes and drive performance
Salary: €75,000 – €90,000 (DOE)
