Job title: Mechanical Commissioning Lead – 80MW Hyperscale Data Centre
Location: Norway

The Company
This specialist engineering and commissioning contractor supports major hyperscale data centre projects across Europe, providing expertise across QA/QC, commissioning and project delivery.
They are supporting the General Contractor with the commissioning scope on a new 80MW liquid cooled hyperscale data centre approximately 45 minutes from Stavanger, Norway.
The Role: Mechanical Commissioning Lead
This Mechanical Commissioning Lead role is based in Norway, on an 80MW liquid cooled hyperscale data centre with an expected programme of 18 to 24 months.
Working Monday to Friday on a 48 hour week, you will work on a 17/5 rotation with the opportunity to return home for a long weekend once per month.
You will lead the mechanical commissioning scope from L1 through L5 and IST, managing system readiness, testing, defects and handover while coordinating mechanical subcontractors, vendors and the wider commissioning team.
Must Have Requirements
You will be an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Lead with a strong background delivering hyperscale or mission critical data centre projects.
You will be comfortable taking ownership of the mechanical commissioning scope, managing contractors and vendors, resolving field issues and driving systems through L1 to L5 commissioning. Previous hyperscale data centre experience is essential, while exposure to liquid cooling systems would be a strong advantage.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have 5+ years’ mechanical commissioning experience within mission critical or hyperscale data centre environments
- Previous hyperscale data centre commissioning experience is essential
- Strong hands on knowledge of L1 to L5 commissioning, including L4 functional testing and L5/IST
- Proven experience required across HVAC, chilled water, CRAH/CRAC units, AHUs, pumps and associated controls
- Experience developing commissioning procedures, test scripts and QA/QC documentation is required
- Liquid cooling experience including CDUs, secondary cooling loops, heat exchangers and leak detection is highly beneficial
- Strong working knowledge of BMS/BAS and integrated building services
- Experience interpreting P&IDs, mechanical drawings and technical specifications
- Lead mechanical commissioning activities from L1 through L5, IST and final handover
- Manage commissioning of chillers, pumps, CRAH/CRAC units, AHUs, chilled water, ventilation and associated mechanical systems
- Drive system readiness, tagging, testing, defect closeout and commissioning programme delivery
- Manage mechanical subcontractors, vendors and commissioning teams on site
- Coordinate with Electrical, BMS and Controls teams during integrated testing and failure scenarios
- Review commissioning procedures, test scripts, QA/QC records and final handover documentation
