As a Mechanical Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all mechanical systems on site, including HVAC, plumbing, BMS, and associated services.

You’ll oversee subcontractor performance, ensure installations are completed to the highest quality standards, and maintain alignment with programme milestones and health & safety protocols.

You will lead the mechanical package delivery on a new-build hotel project in Dublin City Centre. This is a key leadership role on a high-profile development that blends modern design with complex building services requirements.

You will have a strong technical background and a proactive, site-focused mindset, able to take ownership of your scope and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment. You’ll work closely with the wider project team, coordinating with other trades and consultants to ensure smooth integration of services from initial install through to commissioning and handover.

Mechanical Construction Manager Skills:  
  • Minimum 7 years of mechanical construction experience, with at least 3 years in a lead or managerial role.
  • Experience in high-spec commercial or hospitality projects is strongly preferred.
  • Background in mechanical contracting or main contracting environments.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and BMS systems.
  • Proven track record in managing subcontractors, quality control, and programme delivery.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical submittals.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant qualification in mechanical engineering, building services, or construction management.
  • SafePass and manual handling certified
  • Irish construction experience

As a Mechanical Construction Manager:  
  • Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical works on-site, ensuring coordination between subcontractors, design teams, and the main contractor.
  • Drive delivery of works in line with programme milestones, with responsibility for scheduling, tracking, and updating weekly progress.
  • Oversee installation to the highest quality standards in line with client expectations, statutory requirements, and current building regulations.
  • Interface closely with the project manager, other discipline leads, and specialist suppliers to ensure smooth integration across MEP systems.
  • Manage mechanical subcontractors on-site, ensuring resource allocation, task execution, and productivity targets are consistently met.
  • Enforce rigorous safety procedures in line with project and regulatory HSE standards. Champion a proactive safety culture.
  • Monitor change orders, flag commercial implications early, and support quantity surveying teams with relevant on-site data.
  • Coordinate mechanical commissioning, testing, and handover with relevant consultants, vendors, and the client team


The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €80,000 plus package.
