Operating across industrial, pharmaceutical, data centre, commercial, healthcare, hospitality and energy sectors, the company provides full lifecycle building services solutions from design through installation to commissioning and ongoing maintenance. Their continued growth in the West of Ireland has created a requirement for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager in Galway.
The Role Mechanical Project Manager
As Mechanical Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the mechanical package on large scale construction projects in Galway and the wider Connacht region. You will lead delivery from preconstruction through installation, commissioning and final handover, ensuring projects are completed safely, on programme and within budget.
This is a senior position with real influence over programme, quality and commercial performance. You will work closely with the Contracts Manager, design teams, subcontractors and the main contractor to drive progress while maintaining the highest mechanical installation standards.

The Role Mechanical Project Manager
As Mechanical Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the mechanical package on large scale construction projects in Galway and the wider Connacht region. Key Responsibilities
- Health and Safety leadership across all mechanical activities on site
- Manage mechanical programme, short term lookaheads and overall scheduling
- Coordinate subcontractors, direct labour and specialist suppliers
- Oversee technical submittals and drive approvals through to sign off
- Track labour resources and monitor productivity against programme
- Maintain weekly progress reports and manage variations and change control
- Liaise with the main contractor and client site teams to ensure smooth delivery
- Oversee plant procurement, materials management and logistics
- Ensure construction and commissioning programmes are implemented and achieved
- Manage mechanical testing, commissioning and handover documentation
- Maintain accurate project records through the document management system
- Proven background as a Mechanical Project Manager on large construction projects
- Experience delivering building services packages in sectors such as pharma, data centres, industrial or commercial developments
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, pipework and plant installations
- Comfortable managing site teams and subcontractors to tight deadlines
- Commercially aware with experience managing variations and reporting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong site relationships
- Degree or trade background in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or Construction Management preferred
- Organised, driven and focused on programme delivery and quality standards
