Job title: Mechanical QA/QC Engineer – Pharmaceutical Piping
Location: Co Tipperary
Company: Mechanical Engineering & Fabrication Contractor
Package: Up to €75,000 DOE
The Company
This mechanical engineering and fabrication contractor delivers specialist piping, steel fabrication and installation packages for clients across the pharmaceutical and process sectors.
They have a strong workload in Co Tipperary and are looking to strengthen their site engineering team with a Mechanical QA/QC Engineer who understands the quality requirements involved in pharmaceutical piping, fabrication, welding and mechanical installation.
The Role: Mechanical QA/QC Engineer
This is a full-time, site-based Mechanical QA/QC Engineer position in Co Tipperary, working on a pharmaceutical project involving process piping, steel fabrication and mechanical installation.
You will take responsibility for mechanical quality control across fabrication and installation works, including weld documentation, NDT tracking, material inspections, fabrication inspections and final installation checks.

Must Have Requirements
You will come from a Mechanical Engineering, QA/QC or piping background with practical experience of fabrication and installation on pharmaceutical or process projects.
You should be comfortable reading piping drawings and specifications and have a good working knowledge of welding documentation, weld logs, NDT tracking, material traceability and mechanical inspection.
You will need to be organised enough to keep quality documentation accurate while still being comfortable out on site inspecting works and dealing directly with fabrication teams, supervisors and the client.
A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline is preferred, although relevant hands-on industry experience will also be considered.
What’s on Offer
Salary: Up to €75,000 DOE
Benefits:
This role would suit a Mechanical QA/QC Engineer who wants to remain close to the technical side of piping, welding and fabrication rather than moving into a purely office-based engineering position.
You will have direct involvement in the quality and delivery of mechanical works on a pharmaceutical site in the Clonmel area, with responsibility across fabrication, inspection, documentation and installation.
