The Role Mechanical Site Supervisor
As Mechanical Site Supervisor, you will take ownership of a defined mechanical workfront on a major data centre project in Milan. You will lead mechanical installation teams on site, ensuring all HVAC, pipework and mechanical systems are installed safely, on programme and to specification.
This is a key leadership role on a live data centre construction project where coordination, quality control and daily progress management are critical to overall project delivery. Your decisions on site will directly impact programme milestones, commissioning readiness and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise mechanical installation works including pipework, HVAC systems, plantrooms and associated services
• Ensure all mechanical activities are delivered in line with health and safety regulations and project specific safety standards
• Plan and coordinate daily workfront activities to maintain programme and productivity targets
• Manage direct labour and mechanical subcontractors to ensure efficient installation and quality workmanship
• Coordinate with electrical, civil and other trades to avoid clashes and maintain site momentum
• Monitor installation quality and ensure works comply with drawings, specifications and data centre standards
• Maintain accurate daily site records including progress reports, manpower and material tracking
• Identify and resolve technical issues on site in collaboration with project management and engineering teams
• Prepare areas for inspection, testing and handover to commissioning teams
• Drive high housekeeping standards and ensure your area is organised and audit ready
About You
• Strong background in mechanical installation on large scale construction projects, ideally data centres or other mission critical facilities
• Experience working as a Mechanical Site Supervisor, Mechanical Foreman or Mechanical Chargehand on fast track builds
• Solid understanding of HVAC systems, pipework installation, plantroom fit out and mechanical services coordination
• Proven ability to manage mechanical teams and subcontractors on busy construction sites
• Confident coordinating with multiple trades on complex, high value projects
• Strong focus on health and safety, quality control and programme delivery
• Clear communicator who leads with structure, accountability and professionalism
• Comfortable making decisions and taking responsibility for your workfront
