The Role – MEP Detailer

As an MEP Detailer, you will play a key role in the delivery of coordinated BIM models and installation drawings on large scale mechanical and electrical projects in Limerick. Reporting to the Lead MEP Coordinator, you will be responsible for producing accurate 3D models and 2D drawings to support construction teams on site.

This is a project focused role within a live BIM environment, supporting high specification building services installations. You will contribute directly to clash free coordination, quality installation and programme certainty on technically challenging developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Production of detailed 3D MEP models using Revit and, where required, Fabrication CAD
• Delivery of coordinated 2D installation and layout drawings in line with BIM execution plan
• Ongoing clash detection and resolution within federated models
• Daily updates and maintenance of coordinated model files
• Administration and management of model files and drawing registers
• Supporting the Lead MEP Coordinator with design development and coordination tasks
• Attendance at coordination meetings with internal teams and subcontractors
• Assisting site teams with layout verification and resolving installation queries
• Preparation and verification of record drawings and as built documentation
• Site surveys, model verification and use of digital tools such as point cloud scanning where required
• Supporting tender drawing production and smaller project requirements when needed

About You

• Third level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering, or a strong trade background supported by BIM training
• Minimum three years experience in an MEP BIM coordination or detailing role
• Experience working on pharmaceutical, data centre or large commercial building services projects
• Strong proficiency in Revit and experience working within a structured BIM environment
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and site installation practices
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on delivering clash free coordinated models
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary project teams
• Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast paced construction environment
• Ambition to progress toward a Lead MEP Coordinator role
