We are seeking an experienced MEP Pre-Construction Manager to lead and coordinate all mechanical, electrical and plumbing inputs during the early stages of complex design and build projects based out of Co Kildare.
This role is critical to ensuring MEP systems are fully integrated, cost-effective, buildable and aligned with programme, risk and client requirements before construction commences.
You will work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal delivery teams, providing technical leadership across design development, cost planning, value engineering and procurement strategy.

MEP Pre-Construction Manager Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in MEP design, construction or pre-construction roles within main contractor or consultancy environments
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and construction methodologies
- Proven experience leading MEP input during pre-construction from concept through contract award
- Experience developing MEP cost plans, budgets and value engineering proposals
- Strong understanding of building regulations, codes and industry standards
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to liaise confidently with clients, consultants and subcontractors
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and design coordination software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong attention to detail
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership is advantageous
- Experience with sustainable design principles and energy-efficient systems is beneficial
- Strong understanding of BIM coordination processes and digital design workflows
- Applicants must be based in Ireland and have full permission to work
- Lead and coordinate all MEP activities during the pre-construction phase from concept design through to contract award
- Review and assess MEP designs, drawings and specifications for compliance, quality, buildability and programme alignment
- Work closely with architects, engineers and design consultants to optimise MEP solutions for cost, efficiency and constructability
- Develop MEP cost plans, budgets and value engineering options in collaboration with estimating and commercial teams
- Provide technical input into bid submissions, including scope definition, risk assessment and opportunity identification
- Evaluate and recommend MEP subcontractors and suppliers during pre-qualification and tender stages
- Ensure MEP systems are fully coordinated with architectural and structural elements to achieve clash-free designs
- Lead and attend MEP design workshops, coordination meetings and technical reviews
- Provide detailed MEP input into project programmes, logistics planning and procurement strategies
- Monitor changes to regulations and standards affecting MEP design and advise project teams accordingly
- Support smooth transition from pre-construction to delivery by ensuring clear technical definition and documentation
