This specialist engineering contractor has built a strong reputation for delivering fire protection and suppression systems across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe.
Working across data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, logistics and commercial projects, the business manages projects from design and engineering through manufacturing, installation, commissioning and handover.
Based from Co Westmeath, they have a strong pipeline of work across Ireland and Europe, including major data centre projects, and are looking to appoint an experienced Planner to strengthen their project delivery team.
The Role: Planner
The Planner will be based from Co Westmeath and work closely with Project Managers, engineers, design teams, commercial staff and site teams across a number of live engineering projects.
You will take ownership of developing and maintaining project programmes, monitoring progress against key milestones and identifying programme risks before they impact delivery.
The role will cover the full project lifecycle, including design, procurement, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and handover, with significant exposure to major data centre projects.
Must Have Requirements
You will have solid experience as a Planner, Project Planner or Construction Planner within the construction or engineering sector.
Experience within mechanical services, M&E, fire protection or specialist engineering would be particularly relevant. You should understand how design, procurement, manufacturing and site installation interact and affect overall programme delivery.
You will be comfortable working directly with Project Managers, engineers, commercial teams and site personnel, with the ability to identify programme issues early and work with the project team to keep delivery on track.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have previous planning experience within construction, mechanical, M&E or specialist engineering projects
- Proven experience required developing and maintaining detailed project programmes
- Hands on experience required using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar planning software
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, critical path, project milestones and programme reporting
- Mechanical, M&E or fire protection experience preferred
- Data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial or commercial project experience beneficial
- Experience planning projects from design and procurement through installation and commissioning
- Experience working across multiple projects simultaneously would be beneficial
- Develop detailed project programmes from contract award through to commissioning and handover
- Maintain and update programmes based on actual project progress
- Work with Project Managers and engineering teams to establish realistic sequencing and milestones
- Monitor critical path activities and highlight potential delays or programme risks
- Produce short-term lookahead programmes and progress reports
- Track design, procurement, manufacturing, installation and commissioning activities against programme
- Support resource planning and forecasting across live projects
- Attend project meetings and provide clear programme updates to management and project teams
