This specialist engineering contractor delivers complex engineering packages across major construction projects in Ireland and overseas.
Based in Co Westmeath, the company has a strong pipeline of work across technically demanding sectors and is looking for a Project Assistant to support its engineering and project delivery teams.
The Role: Project Assistant
As Project Assistant, you will be based primarily out of the company’s Co Westmeath office, supporting Project Engineers and Project Managers with the day-to-day coordination and administration of live engineering projects.
You will assist with project documentation, procurement, programme updates, technical information and communication between site and office teams.
The position offers good exposure to how specialist engineering projects are managed from initial planning through installation, commissioning and handover.
Must Have Requirements
You will be organised, practical and comfortable working in a project environment where priorities can change as works progress.
You may already have some experience within construction or engineering, or you could be a recent graduate looking to develop a career in project delivery.
You should have good attention to detail and be confident communicating with Project Managers, Engineers, suppliers and site teams.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have strong organisational and communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook, is required
- Must be comfortable working with technical documents, project records and multiple priorities
- An interest or background in construction, engineering or building services is required
- EU passport
- Previous experience in a construction, engineering or project support environment preferred
- Engineering, construction management or related qualification beneficial
- Experience with project management or document control systems beneficial
- Previous exposure to site-based construction projects would be an advantage
- Support Project Managers and Project Engineers across live projects
- Maintain project documentation, records and technical information
- Assist with procurement, materials tracking and supplier coordination
- Help prepare project reports, programme updates and meeting information
- Coordinate information between site teams, engineering and the project office
- Track project actions and follow up on outstanding items
- Assist with project handover and close-out documentation
