You are a motivated Project Design Engineer with a strong interest in renewable energy, looking to join a well-established developer delivering wind, solar and battery storage projects across Ireland and the UK.
This is a technically focused role spanning the full project lifecycle, from early-stage feasibility and planning through to construction support and operational handover. You will work closely with internal development teams, external consultants, local authorities and contractors to support the successful delivery of high-quality renewable energy projects.

Project Design Engineer – Skills & Experience: Degree-qualified in Engineering or a related technical discipline
Experience working on renewable energy, infrastructure or engineering projects (wind, solar or battery storage advantageous)
Strong ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and with external stakeholders
Competent in the use of CAD software, with GIS experience highly beneficial
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
Ability to support projects across feasibility, development, pre-construction and construction phases
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage ad-hoc tasks and project programmes
Flexibility in approach to working hours and travel as required
Full, clean driving licence
Strong communication skills, including confidence engaging with public and stakeholder groups
As a Project Design Engineer you will: Assess the feasibility of sites for renewable energy developments using CAD and GIS tools
Provide technical engineering support across wind, solar and battery storage projects
Support project development activities from inception through to construction and operation
Liaise with local authorities, consultants, contractors and internal project teams
Assist with preliminary energy yield calculations and technical assessments
Support cumulative impact assessments and technical reporting using commercial or in-house tools
Prepare engineering drawings, site layouts, planning drawings and associated infrastructure routes
Assist with the preparation of grid connection and as-built drawings to relevant specifications
Participate in public engagement activities, including public information events where required
Carry out occasional site surveys and site walkovers
Ensure work is delivered to a high technical and professional standard
Health, Safety & Quality: Promote safe working practices across all project activities
Ensure technical outputs meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements
Maintain accurate documentation and drawing control
Support continuous improvement in engineering and project delivery processes
