Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of the data centre project from pre-construction through to handover.
- Manage and coordinate a large team of project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Lead project planning, scheduling, and cost control to ensure delivery on time and on budget.
- Drive a strong culture of health & safety, quality, and technical excellence on site.
- Act as the senior point of contact for the client and all key stakeholders.
- Manage risk, ensure contract compliance, and resolve project issues proactively.
- Report progress to the executive board and participate in strategic business planning.
- Proven experience as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager on major construction projects, ideally €100m+ in value.
- Previous experience in mission-critical environments (Data Centres, Pharma, Life Sciences, etc.) is strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage large teams under pressure.
- A deep understanding of construction project delivery, from concept to commissioning.
- Excellent client-facing skills and a professional, proactive approach to relationship management.
- Willingness to be based in Austria for the duration of the project (relocation support, accommodation and flights when needed provided).
Qualifications:
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Chartered status (or working towards it) is a strong advantage.
- €150,000 – €180,000 basic salary depending on experience.
