You are a capable and driven Project Engineer looking to support ongoing work across water and wastewater treatment projects.
Based from Co Cork you will cover a range of municipal and industrial installations across Munster, no two days are the same.
You’ll be involved in everything from early-stage engineering input to procurement, coordination on site, and right through to final commissioning and handover.
It’s a hands-on role with plenty of variety and responsibility, ideal for someone who’s organised, technically strong, and confident dealing with both design teams and site crews.

Project Engineer Skills:
- Mechanical Engineering degree
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and project documentation tools.
- Strong communicator with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
- Confident working across multiple teams – design, site, commercial, and client-side.
- Previous experience in M&E installations (ideally in water or wastewater), or similar project/site management roles.
- Able to plan and prioritise work, even in time-sensitive situations.
- Willing to get stuck in and learn – there's good progression here for someone with the right attitude.
As a Project Engineer:
- Managing day-to-day project delivery across mechanical, electrical, ICA, and some minor civils.
- Taking ownership of installation and commissioning stages for water and wastewater pumping/treatment systems.
- Supporting design development and offering input to ensure smart, cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Handling procurement, managing materials, and ensuring timely delivery to meet project demands.
- Creating and maintaining detailed project programmes, coordinating across all relevant stakeholders.
- Leading safety standards on site in collaboration with the HSQE team.
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to keep everything moving smoothly.
- Writing method statements, commissioning schedules, and technical documentation.
- Managing all site labour – both direct and subcontract – to ensure smooth delivery.
- Making sure everything is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
