About the Role: A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a significant infrastructure project in the Midlands. This role is key to coordinating on-site construction activities, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed baseline programmes using Microsoft Project
- Track and report progress regularly to the client
- Highlight critical path delays and negotiate extensions of time
- Manage internal budgets to align with original project pricing
- Identify areas of cost overruns and implement mitigation strategies
- Identify and negotiate variations and additional project costs with the client
- Review contract documentation and ensure timely submission of notices
- Lead and manage the Site Agent, Project Engineer, and Quantity Surveyor
- Approve monthly progress claims and Health & Safety documentation
- Conduct regular Health & Safety and quality audits
- Resolve design issues with proposed solutions in collaboration with the client
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Project Manager role within civil engineering or construction
- Preferably experienced in utility works and operating within the road corridor
- Strong IT skills, especially in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project
- Full, clean driving licence
- Civil engineering background preferred
Benefits
- Salary: Up to €80,000
- Annual Leave: 21 days
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
